The Velveteen Rabbit An MCT Original!
February 27-April 18, 2010
What does it mean to be “Real”? Margery Williams’ beloved tale of a stuffed rabbit’s longing to be something more than sawdust and velveteen comes to life in this original adaptation by Manhattan Children’s Theatre Managing Director Chris Alonzo. In MCT’s re-telling, two adult brothers rediscover the book while packing up their childhood home, with the audience joining them on a nostalgic joyride that, like the book itself, is at turns lively, funny and heart-achingly beautiful. This show promises to be a spectacle; a celebration of childhood and the “nursery magic” that make it possible. (Suitable for ages 4 and up)
